Kathy Jeffery
Kathy Jeffery is a People and Talent executive, executive coach, and organizational leadership advisor with more than two decades of experience helping organizations build strong leadership teams, develop high-performing cultures, and scale through periods of rapid growth and transformation. Her career spans technology, healthcare, medical technology, digital health, artificial intelligence, and mission-driven organizations, where she has partnered with founders, chief executives, executive teams, and boards to align people strategy with long-term business objectives.
Jeffery is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Next Level Resource, where she advises high-growth companies, nonprofit organizations, and executive leadership teams on strategic people initiatives. Her consulting practice focuses on serving as a Fractional Chief People Officer, executive search advisor, leadership development coach, organizational design consultant, and strategic HR partner. She also works closely with leadership teams to thoughtfully integrate artificial intelligence into people strategy while strengthening organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
Before launching her consulting practice, Jeffery served as Chief People Officer at Element Science, a medical technology company developing wearable cardiac care solutions that combine medical device engineering with data science and machine learning. In this role she guided the organization’s people strategy during an important period of growth while supporting executive leadership, organizational design, and talent development initiatives.
Previously, Jeffery served as Chief People Officer at Pear Therapeutics, a publicly traded digital therapeutics company focused on developing software-based prescription treatments for patients with significant unmet medical needs. Earlier executive leadership positions included Vice President of People at Recurly, where she helped support the continued growth of one of the industry’s leading subscription billing platforms serving enterprise software companies around the world.
Throughout her career, Jeffery has repeatedly joined organizations during periods of significant change, helping leadership teams strengthen organizational culture, recruit executive talent, improve leadership capability, and build scalable people operations. Her experience also includes executive roles with Sportvision, Kantar, Band Digital, Ignite Sports Media, and Draftfcb, where she led human resources organizations through mergers, acquisitions, rapid expansion, and organizational transformation across technology, digital media, marketing, and professional services industries.
In addition to her executive leadership responsibilities, Jeffery is an experienced executive coach and leadership development professional. She has coached executives, founders, and emerging leaders while designing leadership development programs, organizational effectiveness initiatives, succession planning strategies, and culture transformation efforts. Her work is grounded in the belief that investing in people creates stronger organizations and more effective leaders.
Jeffery also advises PeopleTech Partners and regularly writes about leadership, organizational growth, coaching, and the future of work through her leadership blog. She has earned certifications in Co-Active Coaching, Co-Active Leadership, Positive Intelligence, Positive Psychology, and Situational Leadership, reflecting her long-standing commitment to developing leaders and strengthening organizational performance.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Managerial Communication from Northwestern University, a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from DePaul University, and additional professional training in executive coaching and improvisation.
